Hello all -
God bless you and your ministry.
I'm Mike from Charlotte, NC. I'm 40 years old. I started using drugs and alcohol at age 12, and finally became aware of my struggles with addiction in my late 20s. I'm thankful to the Lord that I am reformed in my theology. I've kicked all my habits of old... all but one. I'm still struggling with alcohol. God has blessed me with an incredible daughter and and an incredible career; yet lately evil has been getting the best of me seemingly more than ever before. Normally I am strong with the help of the Holy Spirit. But unfortunately, I binge a couple times per month. Yet lately I am tempted every day. I want to be free from these ankle chains of satan, and am worried that this is a thorn in my side that I must live with forever, despite my prayers to the Almighty. I do know that I need more Christian brothers and sisters in my life, as currently there is no one to lean on for support.
Thanks very much in advance for any help you can lend, and I look forward to meeting you all and hope I can contribute positively to your ministry and community.
In Christ our Savior,
Mike
