Many Christians have a tradition to regularly pray at meals. This can be a helpful way to incorporate both spontaneous and memorized prayers into the family for spiritual benefit. I remember often praying a little rhyme prayer as a kid and it helped me gain confidence with praying out loud. I decided to write a prayer myself and have been teaching it to my kids, and thought I would share it with everyone. I hope it blesses you!
Lord we thank you for this food, And trust your care for you are good. We take this bread and live for thee, All glory to the Trinity. Amen (the “Amen” is optional, my kids like to add it since it makes the prayer feel finished)
