A very good friend from childhood is undergoing a procedure today. She's almost beat cancer and is still fighting.
Lydia is a gentle soul and almost a sister growing up.
Thanks all and God Bless!
Terry

Terry, I am just seeing this now.I've been needing to rest in the fact recently as I've gone through medical tests that God sees. He loves us and sees exactly how we are. I pray that He who sees holds your friend and heals her. In Jesus name.

Chad, I was just looking over your site and have a question I was hoping you were about to address here. It is the uses of the phrase "good thoughts". In terms of our relationship with Christ it is a great phrase. My sticking point is simply the over use secularly of it as a way for non-religious people to join into the good feeling of joining into support for a problem. What are your thoughts?

Hi E. Pole, honestly, "good thoughts" isn't a phrase I use. My friend Terry used it here and as he is a Christian brother and a good friend I understand his use of it. But I think I understand what you're getting at regarding its use by non-Christians - especially those into secular recovery or self-help programs which put much focus on mantra's such as "as you think so shall you be" and such. The concept of becoming what one thinks sounds good, but it fails because until someone is born again and made a new creation in Jesus Christ the sinful nature and sick heart is still in control. Jeremiah 17:9, "The heart is more deceitful than all else And is desperately sick; Who can understand it?"
2 Corinthians 5:17 "Therefore if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creature; the old things passed away; behold, new things have come."
